Build and lead a data science team focused on fraud detection. Own the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, from feature engineering to production monitoring. Collaborate with engineering and product teams. Requires 2-5 years of data science experience, Python, SQL, and a passion for mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of fraud detection ML models
- Build and grow a new data science team
- Own model performance in production
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, ML Engineering, DevOps, and Product
- Lead cross-functional projects
- Mentor team members
Requirements
- 2-5 years of hands-on data science experience
- Strong Python and ML libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
- Solid SQL skills and large dataset experience
- Feature engineering and model evaluation experience
- Cloud/production environment experience
- LLM-based tools proficiency
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead without authority
Nice to have
- Fraud detection or identity verification background
- Azure experience (ML Studio, Data Factory)
- MLOps practices
