Data & Identity Manager
Anonymized role: Own first-party data, identity graphs, and audience pipelines for a global sports media and technology company.
Responsibilities
- Own identity provider stack end to end, integrating alternative IDs and identity aggregators.
- Build and grow user identity graph, maximizing identified users and stitching vendor IDs into unified profiles.
- Drive curation business, packaging first-party audiences into curated deals and PMPs.
- Utilize DMP to build advanced audiences and prove outcomes of first-party data.
- Serve as internal account manager for all data and audience vendors, owning budgets and reconciliation.
- Own audience ingestion and activation for campaigns via CDP, cloud pipelines, and ad server.
- Work with Legal on data privacy and compliance.
Requirements
- 3+ years in AdTech / data operations / programmatic advertising.
- Strong understanding of programmatic ecosystem (DSPs, SSPs, exchanges, identity, SPO).
- Strong identity landscape knowledge: alternative IDs, identity aggregators, hashed-email strategies, Prebid identity modules.
- Ability to read an ad request and debug an ID not passing.
- Experience monetizing publisher data via audience sales, SSP curation, or data licensing.
- Strong measurement instincts, designing A/B tests and building ROI models.
- Familiarity with programmatic supply chain (GAM/AdX, SSPs, Prebid) and cloud data pipelines (BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Working knowledge of data privacy frameworks (GDPR, US state privacy laws, TCF, COPPA).
- Ability to translate between commercial, technical, and legal stakeholders.
- Organized and self-directed.
- High level of written and verbal English.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience operating a DMP or CDP at a publisher or monetization company.
- Experience with clean rooms / data-collaboration platforms.
- Video monetization experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
