Lead and mentor a data engineering team for a mobile gaming company, owning analytics data models, KPIs, data quality, and BI development to enable data-driven decisions across business functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide the data engineering team through onboarding and integration.
- Establish and manage key processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analytics, Game Economy, Monetization, User Acquisition, and Customer Support to drive business impact.
- Own and evolve the company's analytics data model and KPI framework for consistency, scalability, and trust.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, testing, monitoring, and reliability across the analytics ecosystem.
- Create new data solutions while supporting, maintaining, and optimizing existing ones.
- Manage and evolve the data structure and model to reflect business needs.
- Drive best practices in data modeling, analytics engineering, and BI development.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of management experience.
- Extensive experience in data modeling.
- Expert-level SQL skills.
- 2+ years of experience with DBT.
- Extensive experience with Git.
- Proficiency in DWH methodologies and best practices.
- Experience transforming data into visual insights and building dashboards in a BI platform (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
- BA/BSc degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience with BigQuery.
- Experience with data quality, observability, and validation frameworks (e.g., Monte Carlo, Elementary, Soda).
