As a Senior Data Analyst, you will analyze on-chain activity and DeFi ecosystem dynamics to provide actionable insights that drive product and business strategy. You will build analytical frameworks, develop dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform key decisions and ecosystem growth.
Responsibilities
- Analyze on-chain data using Dune Analytics and similar platforms to track metrics such as TVL, DEX volume, and protocol health.
- Profile key ecosystem participants and identify behavioral patterns relevant to strategy.
- Monitor competitor blockchain ecosystems and cross-chain dynamics.
- Conduct specialized analyses on MEV, arbitrage, and trading infrastructure.
- Perform in-depth research on DeFi applications like AMMs, lending, and stablecoins.
- Develop frameworks to benchmark protocols and initiatives against competitors.
- Evaluate new integrations, incentive programs, and tokenomics through quantitative analysis.
- Define and report KPIs for product and ecosystem verticals.
- Analyze user acquisition, retention, and engagement metrics.
- Measure effectiveness of ecosystem programs and produce post-mortem analyses.
- Build and maintain dashboards using tools like Dune and Grafana.
- Translate complex data into briefs and insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with BD, product, and other teams to support decisions.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional data analytics experience, ideally in crypto/Web3/fintech.
- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with blockchain analytics platforms (Dune, Flipside).
- Working knowledge of Python (pandas, data wrangling, visualization).
- Strong understanding of DeFi concepts (AMMs, lending, liquidity, tokenomics, MEV).
- Ability to interpret smart contract interactions and blockchain datasets.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to derive insights from complex data.
- Excellent written communication skills for reports and executive briefings.
- Cross-functional collaboration and translating findings to recommendations.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with advanced DeFi concepts (CLMM/DLMM pools, staking architectures, cross-chain bridging).
- Exposure to MEV analysis, builder/validator markets, or DEX arbitrage.
- Experience with dashboarding/BI tools (Grafana, Tableau, Metabase).
- Previous experience at L1/L2 blockchain organization, DeFi protocol, or crypto research firm.
