Highly analytical BI Systems Analyst with 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, and dashboards. Skilled in SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, and Azure. Proven ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and drive data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed BI specifications.
- Map target-to-source relationships and work closely with development teams.
- Perform data analysis, generate insights, and support data-driven decision making.
- Lead and support cross-functional processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- Participate in BI solution development, including testing and validation.
- Continuously improve existing BI processes and reports.
- Collaborate with teams using SQL, Data Warehouses, and BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, and PowerBI.
- Prepare and present clear business and functional documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering & Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or another relevant technology-related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a BI Systems Analyst or in a combined BI Analysis & Development role within a large enterprise or financial organization.
- Proven experience in writing Source-to-Target (S2T) mapping documents, including detailed data mappings, transformation logic, business rules, and data validation requirements.
- Proven experience working with Data Warehouses (DWH) and ETL processes, including data model design and understanding of data loading processes.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and performing basic query performance optimization, working with SQL Server or cloud-based data warehouses in an Azure environment.
- Experience designing and specifying BI dashboards and reports using at least one of the following tools: Tableau, Cognos, or PowerBI.
- Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure technologies, such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Databricks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead tasks end-to-end, demonstrate high ownership, and apply strong analytical and business thinking.
