Data Analytics Team Lead
Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, set analytics roadmap, and partner with leadership across product, marketing, and finance to drive data-driven initiatives. Oversee data warehouse analytics layer, define KPIs, and govern the semantic layer to ensure consistent, trustworthy reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data analysts.
- Own the analytics team's roadmap and balance ad-hoc requests with strategic projects.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Technology leadership to define the analytics agenda.
- Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations.
- Guide the design and implementation of new products and features from an analytics perspective.
- Define and govern KPIs, business cases, and impact measurement frameworks.
- Oversee the architecture of the data warehouse's analytics layer, including views and aggregation tables.
- Own the semantic layer strategy for consistent, trustworthy reporting.
- Establish best practices for SQL, data modeling, and analytics workflows.
- Represent the analytics team in leadership discussions and present findings to stakeholders.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance development.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Product Analyst.
- 1-2+ years in a formal Team Lead or managerial role overseeing analysts.
- Proven track record of leading a team and driving professional growth.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to turn complexity into clarity.
- Experience partnering with senior stakeholders in cross-functional environments.
- Strong SQL skills, including views, CTEs, and complex aggregations.
- Hands-on experience with semantic layer tools (e.g., dbt, Looker LookML, Cube).
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension tables).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development processes.
