Responsible for analyzing large-scale security data to identify risks and improve threat detection. Write complex SQL queries using Kibana and OpenSearch, investigate logs and events, build dashboards, and develop detection rules. Collaborate with Data Science and Data Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and investigate large volumes of logs, events, and security data.
- Write complex SQL queries using Kibana and OpenSearch.
- Investigate events to identify unusual patterns and potential security risks.
- Build dashboards and translate data into actionable insights.
- Create and improve detection rules.
- Conduct research on large datasets and turn findings into product logic.
- Work closely with Data Science and Data Engineering teams.
- Help develop research methodologies and processes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, data research, or security analytics.
- Strong hands-on experience with large-scale data / Big Data.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries.
- Hands-on experience with both Kibana and OpenSearch (mandatory).
- Experience investigating and analyzing logs, events, or system data (strong advantage).
- Strong analytical and research skills with ability to identify patterns.
- Curious mindset and ability to learn new systems independently.
Nice to have
- Python for data analysis or automation.
- Background in cybersecurity or security.
- Experience with Elasticsearch.
- Experience with detection, threat research, or security analytics.
- Experience with endpoint telemetry, fraud, or risk data.
- Experience working closely with Data Science and Data Engineering teams.
- Experience with large-scale data at high-volume companies.
