Join a packaging machinery company as a Technical Product Manager. Take technical ownership of machine products, drive quality improvements, ensure CE compliance, develop service concepts, and coordinate with suppliers. Ideal for a hands-on engineer with product management experience.
Responsibilities
- Assume full technical responsibility for machine products throughout their lifecycle
- Analyze imported machines for quality, functionality, safety, and improvement potential
- Derive and implement technical optimizations in coordination with suppliers and internal departments
- Create and maintain CE conformity documentation including risk assessments
- Develop and update technical documentation such as operating, maintenance, and service manuals
- Ensure compliance with relevant directives and standards
- Design structured maintenance and service concepts
- Create maintenance plans, repair instructions, and spare parts concepts
- Provide technical support for complex service cases (2nd/3rd level)
- Organize service assignments for technicians
- Train internal staff in technology, service, and sales
- Serve as the technical contact for internal and external inquiries
- Deliver telephone and written technical support to customers and partners
- Actively shape and develop technical structures and processes
- Coordinate external service providers and future technical resources
- Contribute to defining future roles, responsibilities, and workflows in technology and product management
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or comparable technical education with further training
- Several years of practical experience with machines or technical products
- Strong technical understanding of machinery and equipment
- Experience with CE marking and technical documentation
- Knowledge of relevant standards and directives
- Experience in technical service, support, or product responsibility
- Proficient in handling technical documents
- Hands-on mentality and practical technical skills
- Structured, independent working style
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment in knowledge transfer
- Solution-oriented and pragmatic thinking
- Willingness to take responsibility for products and structures
- Very good German and good English skills
