Senior Product Owner - Purchasing Platform

Join a digital unit of a leading furniture retailer to shape the end-to-end supplier management platform. You will drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring efficient, scalable, and future-proof procurement and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic vision, direction, and outcomes for digital supplier management across the entire supplier lifecycle.
  • Develop and steer the end-to-end product strategy from supplier selection and onboarding to performance management and offboarding.
  • Prioritize and drive cross-functional initiatives to standardize, digitalize, and automate supplier processes.
  • Accountable for business impact at the domain level, particularly regarding data quality, compliance, and risk reduction.
  • Act as the central interface to senior stakeholders (Procurement, SCM, Management), managing expectations and resolving goal and prioritization conflicts.
  • Coordinate multi-year product roadmaps, dependencies, and initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring stable and scalable operations together with Engineering.
  • Evaluate business cases, derive strategic investment and prioritization decisions, and define and measure business-relevant KPIs and product goals.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in digital product management with complex platforms, ideally in procurement, product lifecycle, or supply chain.
  • Understanding of procurement, supplier, and supply chain processes and ability to translate them into digital solutions and products.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing product strategies and managing complex roadmaps across multiple teams.
  • Solid expertise in supplier evaluation, risk management, and assessing business cases and strategic investments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills at senior and management levels.
  • Combination of strategic thinking with high execution competence and strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to structure and prioritize complex topics and make clear decisions in cross-functional, international setups.
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
