Product Manager Mobile Cranes
Join a global construction machinery manufacturer to manage the lifecycle of mobile cranes, from market analysis to prototype testing and technical support. This hybrid role in Krefeld involves up to 70% European travel and collaboration with international teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the product lifecycle of mobile cranes, including performance analysis and integration of market and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Gather, prioritize, and implement technical requirements from customers and stakeholders in close collaboration with development, engineering, design, and marketing teams.
- Oversee pilot and prototype testing, derive optimization proposals, and ensure successful transition to series production.
- Provide technical support to sales and assist customers, service partners, and end users.
- Develop technical documentation and training materials for operators, service, and sales teams.
- Support global development teams in adapting and advancing mobile cranes for the European market.
- Travel up to 70% within Europe and occasionally to China.
Requirements
- Completed technical degree (B.Sc. or higher) in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, construction or crane engineering, or a comparable field.
- Solid knowledge of mobile hydraulics, drive technology, and crane mechanics.
- Experience in product management of construction machinery, ideally mobile cranes.
- Analytical thinking, confident demeanor, strong communication skills, and high customer orientation.
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Class B driving license (Class C desirable).
- Willingness to undertake international business trips.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of European standards and certification requirements for mobile cranes.
- Experience in service, training creation, or machine commissioning.
- Additional language skills such as French, Spanish, or Chinese.
