Product Manager Building Envelope Outside & Technical Projecting
Seeking an entrepreneurial Product Manager to oversee the roof and facade membrane portfolio, combining strategic product management with technical project partnerships for timber construction, prefabrication, and commercial projects. The role spans the full product lifecycle from market analysis to launch and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Strategic and operational responsibility for the roof and facade membrane product portfolio and its market-driven development
- Act as the central interface between the market and internal departments such as sales, development, and marketing
- Drive the development of system solutions for timber construction, prefabrication, and commercial projects
Requirements
- Degree in civil engineering, wood technology, architecture, industrial engineering, technical business administration, or completed technical training with further education and several years of relevant experience
- Several years of experience in product management of technical construction products, including technical project business and international cooperation projects
- Knowledge of roof and facade systems, building waterproofing, membrane and film systems, building envelope, timber construction, and prefabrication, with understanding of market requirements, standards, and trends
- Ideally in-depth knowledge of the French construction sector
- Proficient in stage-gate or product development processes
- Experience in cross-border portfolio and lifecycle management
- Ability to analyze KPIs and understand pricing strategies
- Strong market and customer orientation with excellent communication skills at all company levels, and ability to advise sales in pre-sales and knowledge transfer (e.g., training)
- Structured and independent working style
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken; additional languages advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and BI solutions
