Finance Associate – Financial Operations & Reporting

Responsible for supporting financial services including budget preparation, payment processing, account reconciliation, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensures compliance with organizational financial policies and contributes to audit and training activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and revision.
  • Prepare financial data, variance analyses, and management dashboards.
  • Review and verify payment requests for compliance and accuracy.
  • Process vouchers, including purchase orders and accounts payable, and execute pay cycles.
  • Maintain internal expenditure control system ensuring proper documentation.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable and payable, resolving discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash positions and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and resolving findings.
  • Organize and deliver training sessions on finance topics.

Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma with 6 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in project operations, finance, HR, procurement, or administrative support.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and web-based collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of financial rules and regulations (preferably UNOPS or similar).

Nice to have

  • Experience working within the UN System or large-scale donor-funded projects.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
