Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MIS databases and data systems for a large-scale humanitarian project. Ensure data quality, provide operational support, and collaborate with partners to strengthen transparency and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and improve MIS databases and data management processes.
  • Ensure data quality through cleaning, validation, transformation, and verification.
  • Support data extraction, reporting, and analysis using SQL, and develop dashboards.
  • Oversee data collection from multiple sources and maintain digital archiving.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to Facilitating Partners and field users.
  • Supervise MIS support staff and provide technical guidance on GIS.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Prepare user manuals, SOPs, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school
  • 11 years of relevant experience in information management or database administration with a secondary school diploma

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience with web design and database programming (C#, HTML, .NET, ASP.NET)
  • Knowledge of UN systems and policies for information management
  • Understanding of Afghanistan data collection and management context
  • Experience with community-based projects and humanitarian programs
