A photonics hardware company seeks a senior material planner to ensure material availability for production and maintain appropriate inventory levels. The role manages planning and supply at contract manufacturers and subcontractors, connecting procurement, production, and supply chain teams.

- Manage material supply, consignment inventory, WIP visibility, and lot-status follow-up with contract manufacturers and subcontractors.
- Monitor material flow at external sites and escalate deviations and continuity risks.
- Build and maintain material plans based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
- Monitor inventory and initiate purchase requisitions to support continuity of supply.
- Identify and escalate material shortages and production risks.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and engineering to resolve supply issues.
- Maintain accurate ERP records for receipts, inventory transactions, and order status.
- Support expiry management, MRB, and material disposition processes.
- Participate in S&OP and supply review meetings.
- Lead planning process and tool improvements, and serve as a subject matter expert on planning systems and processes.

- At least 5 years of experience in material planning or supply chain roles in manufacturing.
- Experience managing material planning with contract manufacturers or subcontractors, including consignment inventory and WIP tracking at external sites.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems; experience with Priority or NetSuite is relevant.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
- High-level written and spoken English.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-site supply chains.
