Lead two distributed software development squads working on storage protocols and datapath systems across Israel and the United States. Own team growth, delivery, quality, technical debt, risk management, and career development.

- Lead two protocol-focused engineering squads covering S3, NFS, and SMB datapath systems.
- Manage experienced developers and own development and quality outcomes.
- Recruit, grow, mentor, and retain engineers and team leaders.
- Manage team and individual career development, feedback, and performance.
- Partner with program management, product management, field teams, and technical managers from planning through release.
- Maintain the technical debt backlog and incorporate priorities into ongoing releases.
- Provide progress reporting and risk analysis.
- Promote effective engineering practices, design quality, efficient code, and collaborative code reviews.
- Own quality across engineering deliveries and activities.
דרישות
- At least 5 years of experience managing software development teams.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in C, C++, Python, Go, or Rust.
- Customer-facing experience.
- Experience developing on Linux, including low-level user-mode operating system knowledge.
- Experience developing highly distributed systems.

- Experience leading several teams or a larger engineering group.
- Background in storage, databases, or infrastructure.
- Experience with complex, large-scale distributed systems or databases.
- Familiarity with SMB, NFS, S3, SSD, NVMe, Linux filesystems, clustered products, containers, and network protocols.
