Join a globally distributed engineering team building Windows guest operating system capabilities for an enterprise cloud-native virtualization platform. The role combines systems software architecture, development, debugging, upstream collaboration, and technical leadership.

תחומי אחריות

  • Architect, design, and implement Windows guest operating system features for OpenShift Virtualization
  • Improve performance, stability, and interoperability across the virtualization experience
  • Provide technical expertise on Windows guest issues to engineering teams and upstream communities
  • Contribute across requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex projects
  • Collaborate with Kubernetes, KubeVirt, and QEMU communities
  • Troubleshoot complex issues reported by customers and quality engineering teams
  • Promote software quality, continuous integration, and automated testing practices

דרישות

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and interest in new Windows features
  • Hands-on experience running Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, and applications on Windows
  • Experience with PowerShell and WinRM
  • Ability to perform deep debugging and root-cause analysis of complex Windows issues
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as an architect, administrator, developer, or similar IT professional
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Willingness to develop expertise in Linux and Kubernetes

יתרון

  • Windows or Linux systems administration or architecture experience
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, or another relevant programming language
  • Container-orchestration development experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Experience with virtualization and compute technologies such as QEMU, KVM, OpenStack, RHV, VMware, or Libvirt
  • Open-source software development and community contributions
