Lead and mentor a mechanical design team developing engineering validation boards and complex electronic hardware. Own mechanical design, validation, manufacturability, and cross-functional execution across multiple programs.

- Build, lead, and mentor a team of mechanical design engineers responsible for engineering validation board development.
- Set team priorities, project plans, and resource allocation with program managers and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Lead mechanical design for complex validation boards, fixtures, thermal solutions, structural components, and laboratory infrastructure.
- Apply design-for-manufacturing, design-for-assembly, and design-for-test practices to prototype and validation builds.
- Develop mechanical concepts for multiple concurrent product development programs.
- Collaborate with electrical, PCB layout, signal integrity, power integrity, thermal, packaging, supplier, and manufacturing teams.
- Support prototype assembly, debugging, validation, and hardware bring-up.
- Lead root-cause investigations, failure analysis, and corrective actions for mechanical and assembly issues.
- Conduct design reviews and risk assessments, and implement mitigation plans to improve quality and reliability.
- Improve mechanical design methods, engineering processes, and development best practices.
- Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers on manufacturability, quality, cost, and schedule execution.
דרישות
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- At least 8 years of mechanical design experience for electronic products.
- At least 4 years leading engineering teams in an R&D environment.
- Proven experience designing electromechanical systems for complex electronic hardware.
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools; Creo is preferred.
- Experience with sheet metal, CNC machining, injection molding, and other manufacturing technologies.
- Strong understanding of PCB and PCBA mechanical integration and tolerance analysis.

- Experience developing engineering validation boards or complex networking and server hardware.
- Knowledge of high-speed electronic systems and mechanical integration challenges.
- Experience with thermal management for high-power electronic assemblies.
- Familiarity with laboratory fixtures, test hardware, and validation infrastructure.
- A master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
