Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Develop and maintain real-time embedded software for IoT security and care devices, including microcontroller-based systems, hubs, peripherals, and cloud connectivity. This is a full-time, on-site role in Herzliya.

- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for IoT security systems, central hubs, and peripheral devices.
- Develop and optimize firmware for microcontroller-based systems using FreeRTOS and related embedded operating systems.
- Implement device connectivity and networking protocols for communication between devices and cloud services.
- Integrate cellular modems, including AT command handling and connection management.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve system stability and reliability.
- Collaborate with hardware and cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and integrate products.
- Prepare technical documentation, design documents, and progress reports.
דרישות
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on real-time embedded software development experience in C.
- Strong C programming skills for embedded systems.
- Experience developing firmware for microcontroller-based systems, preferably ESP32 or ARM Cortex-M, with FreeRTOS or bare-metal environments.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks and integrating AI capabilities into software development.
- Experience with low-level peripherals including UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, and GPIO.
- Experience with TCP/IP protocols such as MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, and TLS.
- Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, or Zigbee.
- Experience with cellular modems, including Quectel BG77 or similar modules.
- Experience with Git, Python for testing and automation, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong documentation, analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication skills.

- Experience with ESP32-S3 or similar platforms.
- Experience developing battery-powered or low-power IoT devices.
- Experience with modem power management, sleep modes, and reconnection mechanisms.
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other embedded debugging tools.
- Experience supporting products in production and field deployments.
