Own end-to-end architecture for cloud and hybrid finance-domain solutions spanning Node.js backends, native mobile applications, relational data, integrations, and security. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role working with internal developers, vendors, QA, security, and CISO teams.

- Define and own end-to-end architecture for multiple finance-domain solutions across backend, mobile, relational data, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Design and build core components where needed, while guiding native iOS and Android development.
- Design relational schemas, data flows, and integrations with internal systems and external financial or market-data providers.
- Embed secure APIs, authentication, authorization, data protection, and secure cloud configuration into architecture decisions.
- Review designs and critical code, establish coding, API, and integration standards, and mentor developers.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical decisions and maintain shared-platform consistency.
- Drive continuous engineering improvement through pragmatic architecture practices and effective AI-assisted workflows.

- At least 5 years of experience as a Software or System Architect and 10+ years of overall hands-on development experience.
- Strong backend and server-side architecture expertise, especially with Node.js.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven systems, and microservices architectures.
- Ability to design data layers and schemas across relational, document, graph, on-premises, and cloud databases.
- Hands-on Azure and/or AWS experience, including hybrid architectures, FinOps, and cloud automation.
- Strong application and cloud security knowledge, including secure design, authentication, authorization, data protection, and network or cloud configuration.
- Ability to create logical, physical, network, cloud, flow, context, ERD, sequence, swimlane, and state diagrams.
- Demonstrated practical use of AI-assisted engineering tools such as coding assistants, review copilots, or specification and test generation tools.
- Strong judgment in balancing scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability, with clear communication of technical trade-offs.

- Cloud or security certifications such as AWS/Azure Architect or CISSP.
- Experience leading architectural modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
- Experience architecting or developing native iOS and Android applications.
- Experience in finance, fintech, or other regulated, integration-heavy environments.
