Build and lead the evolution of scalable, highly available backend systems for a real-time mobile advertising exchange. The role focuses on low-latency performance, distributed architecture, production reliability, and technical leadership in a hybrid environment in Petah Tikva, Israel.

- Design, develop, and deliver complex backend services for a real-time ad exchange.
- Architect scalable systems and lead major initiatives, migrations, and long-term maintainability improvements.
- Profile and optimize performance for ultra-low latency and high throughput under heavy concurrency.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish software engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, DevOps, and engineering teams on technical solutions.
- Own services in production, including monitoring, alerting, observability, and incident resolution.
- Improve deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure in collaboration with DevOps.
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic tools to accelerate development and automate routine work.
דרישות
- 5+ years of backend software development experience focused on large-scale distributed systems.
- Expertise in at least one statically typed backend language such as Scala, Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, or C++.
- Experience building and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency, real-time systems.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture, microservices, design patterns, and object-oriented or functional programming.
- Hands-on experience modeling and scaling SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and a major cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical or military experience.

- Knowledge of reactive programming or advanced concurrency models.
- Experience with Kafka, Flink, Spark, or other big data streaming technologies.
