Backend Engineer

Build and maintain production backend systems for an agricultural technology platform. The role covers end-to-end feature delivery, APIs, databases, orchestration, cloud infrastructure and third-party integrations. It is a hybrid position based in Afula, Israel, with office work three days per week.

- Design and implement end-to-end backend solutions
- Build and maintain APIs, databases, orchestration and cloud infrastructure
- Own features through delivery and integrate third-party systems across platforms
- Develop production systems for the company’s agricultural technology platforms
- Collaborate with senior engineers on increasingly complex architecture and delivery work
דרישות
- At least 3 years of experience building Java production backend services, including monoliths and microservices
- Understanding of software engineering principles and software architecture fundamentals
- Experience with AI-driven development
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including schema design, query performance and migrations
- Experience with a message queue or streaming platform
- Experience with cloud computing platforms
- Experience with containerized environments, Kubernetes and full CI/CD processes
- Familiarity with generative AI and large language model concepts
