Design and build scalable data architectures and reliable pipelines for complex biological, genomic, clinical, and single-cell datasets. Collaborate with data scientists and AI/ML engineers to make data accessible for research and decision-making in a hybrid role based in Ramat Gan.

- Design, build, and maintain pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading heterogeneous biological data from databases, APIs, and flat files
- Enhance data warehouse infrastructure to support multiple analytics use cases
- Implement and productize scientific and computational algorithms as scalable production pipeline components
- Develop AI-ready data infrastructure that enables reliable querying and use by AI/ML systems and agents
- Implement data governance policies and procedures for data quality, security, and privacy
- Collaborate with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, architects, and other cross-functional teams to understand data needs
- Mentor data engineers and promote AI-assisted development practices and tooling
- Document data pipelines, processes, and systems
דרישות
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, computational biology, or a related field
- At least 7 years of programming experience, particularly with Python
- At least 5 years of experience as a data engineer
- Strong system design experience and experience across multiple data ecosystems
- Proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Experience with HDFS or NoSQL data storage technologies
- Experience with ETL tools such as Apache Beam or Apache Spark
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Dagster
- Experience with data warehousing technologies, preferably BigQuery
- Experience handling large and complex datasets in a cloud environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
