Junior Data Engineer, HR Automation

Project-based, fully remote opportunity to clean and reconcile HR data, establish reliable employee and leave-data structures, automate leave workflows, and implement governance controls. - Assess employee and HR data sources for duplicates, inconsistencies, missing information, and structural gaps
- Define and implement standardized employee master-data structures, validation rules, ownership models, and data-management standards
- Aggregate, clean, reconcile, and verify historical leave records from time-tracking systems, spreadsheets, and communications
- Establish a reliable master baseline for employee and leave data
- Design and implement leave-request, approval, balance-tracking, notification, and record-maintenance workflows
- Automate HR processes using Google Workspace or a suitable alternative
- Implement role-based access controls, validation controls, ownership models, and audit trails
- Document data structures, workflows, controls, and maintenance procedures for ongoing administration and replication
- Deliver the fixed-scope project according to the agreed methodology, timeline, effort, and budget

- Experience cleaning, reconciling, and structuring complex datasets from multiple sources
- Professional experience with HRIS platforms, employee master data, HR data management, or related operational data
- Hands-on experience automating workflows with Google Forms, Google Sheets, notifications, or comparable tools
- Understanding of data quality, validation, ownership, permissions, and governance
- Experience designing access controls and audit trails for sensitive HR information
- Ability to work independently across a fixed-scope project from assessment through implementation and documentation
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prepare a detailed RFQ covering methodology, deliverables, exclusions, timeline, effort, cost, dependencies, risks, and assumptions
- Willingness to sign an NDA and project agreement and complete a background check
