Own the product direction and quality standards for large-scale search infrastructure used in AI agent workflows. Set release criteria, manage quality, latency, coverage, freshness, and cost tradeoffs, and guide the evolution of the search index and retrieval roadmap. This is a hands-on senior IC2?
Responsabilidades
- Set quality standards and release criteria for search products in partnership with the evaluation team
- Own depth, latency, and cost tradeoffs across search products
- Define index coverage, freshness, and quality direction
- Develop the search infrastructure roadmap for agent-driven retrieval
- Assess competing solutions and prioritize work to close important gaps
- Work with customers and customer success to identify quality issues in real workflows
- Partner with data and vertical product owners on corpus content and result shaping
Requisitos
- At least 5 years of product management experience, including substantial work with high-scale search or ranking systems
- Professional background as an engineer, machine learning engineer, or researcher on a production search, ranking, or advertising system; this is required
- Direct experience shipping search or ranking changes end to end and evaluating their impact
- Strong data skills, including experiment design and critical analysis of evaluation results
- Strong product judgment and ability to make and defend build-versus-defer decisions
- Strong understanding of large language models, AI agents, and retrieval in agentic workflows
- Ability to work through ambiguity and move between strategy and execution
- Ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority
Se valora
- Advanced experience in information retrieval, NLP, or applied machine learning
- Experience with index tiering, sharding, freshness pipelines, or cost-per-query optimization at scale
- Experience with hybrid retrieval, semantic and lexical search, re-ranking, or human evaluation programs
- Experience with API-first or developer-platform businesses serving self-serve and enterprise customers
- Experience in a high-growth technology company or startup-within-a-larger-organization environment
