Own revenue recognition under ASC 606 across subscription, services, and usage-based contracts. Lead revenue close and reporting, review non-standard deals before signature, and oversee revenue-related audit support and controls.
Responsabilidades
- Apply ASC 606 to multi-element contracts, allocate standalone selling prices, and determine revenue timing and amounts.
- Monitor subscription, AI consumption, and services contracts for accounting implications and emerging technical questions.
- Develop and communicate revenue recognition policies and procedures across finance and commercial teams.
- Prepare revenue schedules, reconcile deferred revenue, post journal entries, and produce revenue management reports during month-end close.
- Identify automation opportunities for recurring revenue calculations and schedules.
- Review non-standard contracts through the Deal Desk process and provide written accounting guidance before execution.
- Manage auditor relationships, prepare technical accounting memos and workpapers, and resolve audit queries.
- Maintain effective internal controls for revenue recognition under SOX or equivalent requirements.
Requisitos
- At least 5 years of experience in a Revenue Controller role.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP.
- Experience with multi-element arrangements, standalone selling price analysis, and complex contracts.
- Experience managing external audits and SOX or equivalent revenue controls.
- Able to analyze commercial agreements and identify revenue recognition implications.
- Familiarity with ERP-native or specialist revenue recognition platforms; interest in automating close activities.
- Able to use AI tools for large datasets, automation, and contract review.
- Comfortable partnering with Deal Desk, Sales, and Legal on pre-signature contract reviews.
