A global cloud data platform company is seeking a senior software engineer for its Database Operations team. The role focuses on automating and improving the scalability, reliability, and operational quality of managed PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Valkey services.
Responsabilidades
- Write maintainable code and release high-quality features
- Participate in technical discussions and review pull requests
- Contribute to technical planning and backlog management
- Investigate and resolve customer issues
- Mentor and support other engineers
- Automate processes to eliminate repetitive manual work
- Improve the scalability, reliability, and operational quality of database services
Requisitos
- Excellent Python development skills
- At least 5 years of experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Valkey, Redis, or a similar database
- Experience with infrastructure automation and DevOps practices in production
- Experience with backup solutions and strategies
- Advanced understanding of Linux
- Experience with automated testing
- Knowledge of distributed systems
- Experience improving performance, fixing bugs, and resolving security vulnerabilities
- Fluent spoken and written English
