Lead quality engineering for high-level software, including SDKs, APIs, user-facing tools, and supporting services. Set technical direction for the QA and automation team while remaining hands-on with test frameworks, CI integration, customer escalations, and release quality.
Responsabilidades
- Own the quality and test automation strategy for high-level software, SDKs, APIs, user-facing tools, and related services.
- Lead, mentor, and develop QA and automation engineers while providing technical direction.
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks and test suites covering functionality, performance, and stability.
- Define test plans, coverage objectives, and quality gates with research, development, architecture, and product teams.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in partnership with DevOps.
- Handle Tier 2 software support escalations by reproducing, diagnosing, and driving issues to resolution.
- Lead root-cause analysis and improve test reliability, flakiness, and release confidence.
- Establish quality metrics and reporting for release readiness and product quality.
Requisitos
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software QA and test automation, including at least 2 years leading engineers.
- Strong Python or equivalent programming skills for building automation frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant scientific field.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining automated test suites and frameworks for SDKs, APIs, services, or other high-level software.
- Resourceful problem-solving skills and a demonstrated commitment to improving software quality.
