Lead a team of 3–6 embedded developers while contributing hands-on to hardware and firmware development. Guide client projects from requirements and proof of concept through verification and mass production. The role is hybrid, with one work-from-home day per week.
Responsabilidades
- Lead and mentor a team of 3–6 embedded developers, combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership and people management.
- Guide architecture, development, integration, and debugging across board-level hardware and firmware.
- Lead projects from system requirements and proof of concept through design, new product introduction, verification, and mass-production handoff.
- Facilitate technical discussions, design and code reviews, process implementation, and risk mitigation.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for startup clients, translating business and functional needs into engineering specifications and managing technical roadmaps.
- Maintain compliance with medical-device regulations and quality processes throughout development.
- Use AI-assisted tools for architecture exploration, code generation, debugging, and technical documentation.
Requisitos
- At least 8 years of experience as a senior embedded engineer, embedded team lead, or systems engineer.
- At least 3 years of team leadership or people management experience.
- At least 3 years of customer-facing technical experience, including requirements management and technical workshops.
- At least 5 years of combined hands-on hardware and firmware experience.
- Strong C and C++ programming skills for embedded microcontrollers, RTOS, or bare-metal platforms.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary hardware and firmware projects through mass production.
- Hands-on experience in regulated medical devices and familiarity with standards such as IEC 62304 or ISO 13485.
- Practical use of AI tools in engineering workflows.
- Professional-level spoken and written English.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or an equivalent technical field.
