A high-frequency trading research company is seeking a Database Reliability Engineer for its infrastructure and operations team. The role focuses on reliable, secure, and performant database services across on-premises and cloud environments.
Responsabilidades
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain database platforms including MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and InfluxDB in Linux environments.
- Manage databases across on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Support developers and users with query design, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Monitor database health, capacity, and performance while identifying bottlenecks and recommending improvements.
- Maintain database availability, reliability, data integrity, security, backup, and recovery processes.
- Work with developers, researchers, and infrastructure teams to resolve operational issues and improve database services.
- Operate and optimize large-scale, high-throughput database clusters and distributed data platforms.
- Plan, document, automate, and continuously improve database operations and procedures.
Requisitos
- At least 8 years of database engineering experience in large-scale, production-critical environments.
- Hands-on expertise in database infrastructure, automation, reliability, and performance optimization.
- Deep knowledge of database architecture, Linux systems, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with MySQL, Redis, and InfluxDB.
- Working knowledge of ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.
- Strong scripting or programming skills for infrastructure automation.
- Experience using AI agents or AI-assisted tools in complex technical environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a relevant technical certification, or equivalent practical experience.
- Practical and analytical problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, and a high level of ownership.
