Lead the architecture and hands-on development of a greenfield, cloud-native and on-premises-deployable platform for mission-critical public safety operations. Own technical decisions, production delivery, AI-assisted engineering practices, and the initial engineering team.
Responsabilidades
- Own the platform’s technical direction, architecture, technology stack, engineering standards, and long-term technical decisions.
- Review and evolve the existing technical foundation.
- Write production code for multi-tenancy, security, event and data models, integrations, and real-time operator workflows.
- Define the minimum viable product with Product and deliver a deployable working system.
- Hire and onboard the initial engineers and establish engineering practices, review processes, and merge gates.
- Lead the AI-native, specification-driven development workflow with review gates, guardrails, and human accountability.
- Design data models, event semantics, audit trails, and integration seams for future AI-assisted capabilities.
- Own delivery engineering, including environments, CI/CD, observability, releases, upgrades, and codebase security.
- Collaborate with Product, business stakeholders, DevOps, existing engineering teams, and command-center operations.
Requisitos
- At least 8 years of experience building backend or platform software.
- Deep production experience with TypeScript and Node.js, including NestJS or an equivalent framework.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience.
- Experience taking a greenfield system from inception to production and operating it.
- Experience taking ownership of an existing codebase and improving it.
- Production experience with real-time or event-driven systems, message streams, WebSockets, or workflow engines.
- Experience designing multi-tenant and deployable systems, including tenancy isolation, deployment topologies, containers, and Kubernetes fundamentals.
- At least 2 years leading a small engineering team, including hiring.
- Fluent English.
