An analytics hardware company is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to develop data-framework integrations and improve data-processing performance.
Responsabilidades
- Develop Spark plugins and integrations
- Build software in Scala and Java, with additional Python development
- Design algorithms for processing and optimizing query plans
- Define the query abstraction layer
- Contribute to open-source projects
- Collaborate with software teams to optimize software and hardware integration for maximum performance
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field
- At least 8 years of software development experience, with a strong focus on data engineering
- Strong proficiency in Java and Scala
- Experience with Apache Spark or other big-data frameworks
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
