A growing B2B SaaS company is seeking a hands-on Backend Team Lead for its R&D team in Israel. The role combines approximately 80% backend development with technical leadership, people management, and ownership of team delivery and infrastructure.
Responsabilidades
- Spend approximately 80% of the role on hands-on backend development
- Lead, onboard, mentor, and manage a small engineering team
- Plan and break down work, including high-level design and estimates
- Lead team syncs, identify blockers, and coordinate across teams
- Monitor system stability and promote reliable operations
- Manage the team’s Jira board and inter-team communication
- Drive the timely delivery of high-quality products
- Own relevant repositories, codebases, CI/CD pipelines, and team infrastructure DevOps
- Guide technical decisions and initiate decision-making discussions
- Update, upgrade, monitor, and replace third-party libraries
- Collaborate on the full development lifecycle, including architecture and product stakeholder alignment
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- At least 7 years of experience as a hands-on backend developer in a B2B SaaS startup
- At least 4 years of experience leading a team of five or more people
- Strong technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to explain complex technical, architectural, and organizational issues clearly and propose thorough, iterative solutions
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and motivation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
