Senior Robotics Algorithm Engineer
Own the navigation algorithm stack for an autonomous surface vessel, translating world models into safe commands. Develop and validate algorithms in simulation and at sea.
Responsabilidades
- Own the end-to-end algorithmic path from world state to safe navigation commands
- Design global and local planning, including route and waypoint generation, path following, and continuous replanning
- Develop collision avoidance for dynamic maritime environments, including encounter classification, reasoning about vessel intent and uncertainty, maneuver selection, and return-to-route behavior
- Build mission-level decision logic for continuing, deviating, holding, aborting, transitioning to a safe state, and defining behavior limits
- Build the data pipeline and evaluate performance in simulation and at sea
Requisitos
- At least 5 years of experience in robotics algorithms, including motion planning, decision-making, or collision avoidance for autonomous platforms
- Background in automotive planning and behavior
- Strong practical knowledge of planning methods and real-time trade-offs
- Demonstrated experience with decision-making under uncertainty and dynamic obstacles
- Production-grade C++ and Python skills, including real-time algorithms for embedded compute
- Experience taking algorithms from concept through field trials and ensuring they work reliably in real-world conditions
Se valora
- Maritime knowledge, including COLREGs, AIS, radar tracking, or navigation practice
- Experience with multi-agent interaction, intent estimation, reactive or game-theoretic planning
- Experience with model predictive control, trajectory optimization, reachability, or safety-envelope methods
- Experience on defense programs
