A fintech software company is seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator for a full-time, on-site position in Jerusalem. The role owns development, staging, and production databases and supports reliability, security, performance, and database design.
Responsabilidades
- Maintain and develop infrastructure supporting development, staging, and production databases.
- Own database administration across the organization.
- Manage database security, failover, replication, optimization, and backups.
- Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Advise on table structures, indexing, queries, stored procedures, and database architecture.
- Establish database procedures, best practices, and architecture.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Train DevOps and support staff.
- Resolve database issues and act as the organization’s database subject-matter expert.
Requisitos
- At least 5 years of DBA experience, including at least 3 years working with MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with failover, replication, security, optimization, and backups.
- Experience using a scripting language such as Python or Bash.
- Ability to work independently as the organization’s primary DBA.
- Strong issue-resolution and root-cause analysis skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
Se valora
- Experience with database design, testing, and maintenance.
- C++ development involving MySQL.
- Financial technology experience, including FIX protocol or foreign exchange trading.
- Experience with Jira, SVN, or Jenkins.
