Junior Bioinformatician

Half-time, on-site academic research position focused on bioinformatics analysis, computational biology, and collaboration with experimental researchers.
Responsabilidades
- Design and conduct bioinformatics analyses
- Process and interpret high-throughput sequencing and other large-scale biological datasets
- Develop and maintain computational pipelines
- Integrate computational findings with wet-lab results
- Contribute to scientific publications and grant applications
- Present findings in laboratory meetings
- Train students in basic computational methods
- Document workflows and support data quality and interpretation
Requisitos
- Master’s degree or PhD, or nearing completion, in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, statistics, or a related discipline
- Experience analyzing genomic, transcriptomic, or other omics data
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming or scripting languages
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and databases
- Understanding of molecular biology and experimental design
- Experience with Linux or Unix environments, command-line tools, version control, and basic system navigation
- Ability to manage datasets, document workflows, and maintain reproducible analytical pipelines
- Strong written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research team
